These fully-featured benchtop Protector ClassMate hoods are designed to meet the needs of instructional laboratories. Clear back and sides paired with a taller front viewing window provide enhanced visibility for conducting chemistry demonstrations or observing students using the hood. Visibility remains unobstructed even when placed back-to-back in island configuration. ClassMate hoods were engineered and certified as the first classroom hoods to achieve SEFA 1 definition of High Performance Fume Hoods.

Hoods are available with combination horizontal-sliding/vertical-rising sashes which allow you to use the hood with the sashes half open either horizontally or vertically. With its ergonomic 5° angled, 1/4"-thick tempered safety glass stationary viewing panel, the ClassMate hood provides a 37.5" viewing height. Sides are made of 1/4"-thick tempered safety glass, providing better resistance to fire and chemicals than acrylic.

Hoods come pre-wired with LED lighting along with light and blower switches although work surface, base cabinet, blower and ductwork must be ordered separately.
