Versatility and ease of use characterize this microprocessor controlled penetrometer. Select a standard scale or program alternative measurements with 0.01 mm resolution. Program intervals of up to 9999.9 seconds in 0.1 second intervals or use the ASTM standard default interval of 5.0 seconds. The interval you select repeats automatically until changed. Output sample number, interval, and penetration depth to your computer or printer.
Four programmable presets automatically lower the tip to the sample. Fine adjustment button allows slight manual adjustments as needed. Coarse and fine controls, flex-mount magnifier, and illuminator arm permit full manual operation for precise tip placement on irregular samples. Express button returns head to raised position. Built-in 12 V rechargeable battery allows field use and preserves data when AC power is interrupted. Order penetrometer cones and needles that conform to appropriate ASTM standards separately.
What’s included: 47.5-gram plunger; 50- and 100-gram weights; conductive probe; and power adapter with 6-ft cord with plug (U.S. plug on 115 VAC model, a European plug on 230 VAC model).
