Sonic sifters deliver 3600 sonic pulses/min oscillation inside the sieve stack to provide precise, dependable separation of powders, granular materials, and minerals down to 5 µm. Vertical and horizontal tapping actions ensure maximum particle movement to separate hard-to-separate materials while reducing sample clumping. Easily set operating parameters using a control panel with a large LED display. Set vibration and amplitude, ramp and dwell, test time, tapping action as well as 10 fully customizable profiles to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.
Sonic sifter features an extended vertical tapping function to provide greater up and down agitation while horizontal tappers can be individually actuated for specific sieves to achieve accurate and reliable particle separation. Sifter accommodates up to seven full-height ASTM E11 or ASTM E161 test sieves. Insert acrylic spacers when using less than seven sieves or for viewing sieving action.
The sample material is contained by the flexible top and bottom diaphragms. Lower the top diaphragm on the sieve to seal the stack. The vertically hinged Lexan® doors along with the top and bottom diaphragms help confine dust particles and reduce respirable particle exposure to a minimum. Powder-coated steel construction provides excellent durability.
