More About this Item
The EL-WiFi data logging sensors wirelessly stream environmental data at regular intervals to a host PC. Position sensor using built-in Wi-Fi range detection indicator; once set up within range of a Wi-Fi router, the sensor stays where you want it and you can monitor the data from your PC. The EL-WiFi sensors are 802.11b compliant and support security protocols WEP, WPA/WPA2-PSK—unlike many other wireless data loggers, these sensors communicate through any Wi-Fi router available worldwide. Use the LCD to read data locally, including min/max readings, Wi-Fi connection and signal strength. Data loggers are IP55-rated and include rechargeable batteries.
The EL-WiFi-TP data logging sensor measures the temperature of the environment in which the probe is situated. Data is transmitted wirelessly via a Wi-Fi network to a PC and viewed using a free software package. During configuration, the sensor will search for an existing wireless network while physically connected to the PC. It can then be placed anywhere within range of the network. If the sensor temporarily loses connectivity with the network, it will log readings until it is able to communicate again with the PC application (max 120 days at 10-second sample interval). The range of the sensor can be increased by using Wi-Fi extenders. The EL-WiFi sensors are 802.11b compliant. So unlike other wireless data loggers, these sensors communicate with any Wi-Fi router available worldwide.
The probe can be used in a wide range of temperature situations including manufacturing processes, cold storage, and hot storage. When configured using typical sampling periods (e.g. once every 60 seconds), this battery-operated sensor will operate for over one year. The battery can then be recharged via a PC or USB 5 V wall adapter using the USB lead provided. The software installed on the PC will allow setup, data logging, and data review. Setup features include sensor name, °F/°C selection, sample rate, and high/low alarms. Once configured, historic data can be viewed via the graphing tool or exported to Excel®.
What's included: removable thermistor probe, micro USB cable, wall-mounting bracket, and rechargeable internal lithium polymer battery.
