More About this Item

The immersion cylinder, constructed of non-spark producing nickel-plated brass, is ideal for point sampling of crude oil, liquid mineral oil products, fuels, special and test fuels, fuel oils, petroleum, and liquid lubricants in Explosion Categories IIA, IIB, and IIC. Two cables are required for point sampling—a bearer cable and hauling cable. The hauling cable is used to open and close the valve to capture the desired sample. The bearer cable is used to lower and retrieve the cylinder. The immersion cylinder can also be used for soil sampling.
