Safety Apparel Material Selection Guide

Tyvek QC® is a polyethylene coated Tyvek fabric designed to provide splash protection from a mid-range of chemicals and particulates.

Kleenguard® apparel features unique outer layers made with spunbound polypropylene for extra strength and cloth-like comfort. Its meltblown middle layer is composed of an intricate matrix of microfibers acting as a filter to keep out many fine particulates and waterbased liquids. Since it's breathable, both air and water vapor can pass through the garment to keep skin cool, reducing the risk of heat stress in hot environments.

NexGen® is a microporous bi-laminate polyolefin composite, nonwoven material, that is lightweight and soft, yet strong—whether wet or dry.

Pro/Shield®1 is a tri-laminate spunbound-meltblown-spunbound polypropylene fabric. Because itŐs soft, lightweight, and breathable, Pro/Shield 1® is ideal for many situations where a dry particulate barrier and repellency are needed.

Pro/Shield®2 is a material made up of microporous film laminated to a non-woven polypropylene substrate. This unique material provides an excellent protective barrier, holding out 100% of all dry particles down to 0.19 microns in size while remaining breathable for maximum worker comfort.
